  22. This "newbie" thinks this is a good idea.  Just bought a Cardinal 28,800 
  23. external modem with voicemail.  Factory settings are 4 bit but there is 
  24. an option for 8 bit.  I don't even know if I can change it-what it might 
  25. do (just use up more memory?) Otherwise the Cardinal sounds O.K. (it 
  26. ain't CD quality though-not that I expect that).  anyone play with the 
  27. settings and what happened.
